Reed was born March 19, 1982, in Bozeman MT. He grew up in Minneapolis, MN and started taking pictures in his last year of high school when he was accepted to the Perpich center for Arts Education. After high school he attended Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, CA. He graduated from Brooks in February of 2005 and moved to New York City to work at an advertising agency. In late 2005 his pictures were discovered at a photo contest and he was offered a yearlong scholarship/residence at Fabrica, the United Colors of Benetton’s creative research center. Reed is currently working and living in northern Italy. In his free time he reads lots of books and listens to the same music over and over until he hates it.
